In Loving Memory of
Albert “Bud” J. Golding
May 16, 1938 – September 18, 2023
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Albert (Bud) Golding beloved for his remarkable wit and dry sense of humor. Bud departed from this world on September 18th, 2023 but leaves behind a legacy of laughter and warmth that will forever reside in our hearts. He leaves in mourning his loving wife of 62 years, Louise (nee Gervais) Golding, his children Mark (Michele) Golding and Diane (Mike) Genereux, his grandchildren Diedra (Hannah), Amy (Brandon), Kyla, Daniel, Mark, Jeffrey and his great-grandchildren Lillie and Olivia.
Bud also leaves behind his brother Gary (Dale) Golding and his sister-in-law Sue Golding. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Gladys (nee Knight) Golding, his siblings Stella (Andrew) Potachuk, Audrey (Lucien) Labelle and Lorne (Lila) Golding.
Beyond his remarkable sense of humor, Bud had a great love for the outdoors. He spent many a crisp, fall morning hunting with family and his love for fishing and gardening with his wife Louise at the cottage all continued into his 80’s.
He was a deeply caring and compassionate individual. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, always ready to offer a helping hand or a comforting word to those in need. His infectious laughter and warm smile brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bud leaves behind a legacy of enduring love, unwavering support, and countless cherished memories. His presence enriched the lives of all who knew him, and his memory will continue to warm our hearts.
While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible man he was and the joy he brought into our lives.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lady Minto for their wonderful care and for the hospital for creating a hospice room which was so appreciated by Bud as he felt close to nature and at peace there.
In respecting Bud’s wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Lady Minto Hospice for their Hospice program. (cheque only) and would be greatly appreciated.
