Betty-Lou Lacoursière (nee James)

June 4, 1940 – February 18, 2023

It is with heavy hearts the family announces Betty’s passing at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls with family at her side on Saturday February 18th, 2023 at the age of 82. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 63 years Jacques Lacoursière, children Richard (Sandra) Lacoursière, Linda (David) Gold, Debbie (Mike) Lessard, Carolyn (late Donald) Gamble, Brent Lacoursière and Terry (Ginette) Lacoursière. She will also be deeply missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty was the daughter of the late Edward James and Florence James (nee Tinney). Dear sister of Sandra Kydd and Bradley James. Also predeceased by sister Shirley Cole and brother Beverley James.

Betty had a very deep affection for cats which helped her right to end of her life. At the request of Betty there will be no funeral services held and her ashes will lay to rest at the Monteith Cemetery at a later date. In her memory, donations may be made to the Anson General Hospital or to the South Centennial Manor Redevelopment Project (cheques only payable to AGH Foundation).

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff and to Doctor Bruno for the exceptional care she received at the Anson General Hospital.
