In loving memory of

Mr. Gerald Donig

June 26, 1939 – October 12, 2020

Passed away at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Monday October 12th, 2020 at the age of 81. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Gladys Donig (nee Farstad), his children Marny (Ed) Kalnins and Patrick Donig, his grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. He was the brother of Patricia (late Gail), Brenda, late Bruce, late Ken, son of the late Herb Doing and Yvette Donig (nee Dion). 

Gerry worked for Ontario Hydro for many years and retired in the late 90s.   After his retirement, his greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends.  His love for life and his family were quite apparent.  Gerry spent many summers at the lake, camping and fishing.  The "party shack"  was always open for visitors from near and far. Many evenings were spent either in his workshop or around the campfire where he shared stories about his life experiences bringing joy and laughter to all.

Memorial donations may be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation and would be greatly appreciated by his family.
