C'est avec une profonde tristesse que la famille vous annonce le décès de Hervé Lachance, survenu à l’âge de 89 ans, entouré de ses enfants. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Guy (Darlene) Lachance, Anne (Aurèle) Lambert, Lucie (Ron) Lamarche et Tony (feu Lyne, Colette Cook) Lachance, plusieurs petits-enfants Stéphanie (Lee), Amélie (Josh), Josué, Chantelle (Chris), Béthanie (Thabo), Angelica (Justin) et Nathaniel (Emma) qu'il aimait bien et ses arrière-petits-enfants Jubilee, Baylee, Elijah, Alexia, Scarlett et Ava; ses rayons de soleil.

Il laisse également dans le deuil sa sœur Thérèse Lachance, ainsi que ses neveux et nièces et amis. Il fut précédé par son épouse bien-aimé de soixante ans, Mariette Lachance (née Roy), son fils Bruno, ses parents Thomas et Léontine, ses frères Philomon, Joseph, Jules-Aimé, Armand, Lionel, Bertrand, Irénée, André et Florian et par ses sœurs Anna, Laétitia et Jeannette.

Hervé est né à Saint-Elzéar, Québec le 13 octobre, 1931. Il épousa Mariette Roy le 18 août, 1956 et installa sa petite famille à Iroquois Falls en 1958. Il travailla pour Abitibi-Price comme bûcheron et en 1965, devint contremaître jusqu’à sa retraite. Hervé et sa Mariette ont toujours été un couple exemplaire et étaient bien aimés au seins de leurs parentés et amis. Il nous laisse avec de beaux souvenirs de ses histoires de jeunesse qu’il aimait bien nous raconter. La vie fut rendue difficile après le décès soudain de sa chère épouse en 2016.

It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the peaceful passing of Hervé Lachance at 89 years old, at the South Centennial Manor surrounded by his children. He leaves behind, his loving children: Guy (Darlene) Lachance, Anne (Aurèle) Lambert, Lucie (Ron) Lamarche and Tony (feu Lyne, Colette Cook) Lachance, many grand-children : Stéphanie (Lee), Amélie (Josh), Josué, Chantelle (Chris), Béthanie (Thabo), Angelica (Justin) and Nathaniel (Emma) which he loved and his great grand-children : Jubilee, Baylee, Elijah, Alexia, Scarlett and Ava; his rays of sunshine.

He also leaves behind his sister Thérèse Lachance, and many nephews, nieces and friends. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Mariette Lachance (née Roy), his son Bruno, his parents Thomas and Léontine, his brothers Philomon, Joseph, Jules-Aimé, Armand, Lionel, Bertrand, Irénée, André and Florian and his sisters Anna, Laétitia and Jeannette.

Hervé was born in Saint-Elzéar, Québec on the 13th of October, 1931. He married Mariette Roy on the 18th of August, 1956 and moved his family to Iroquois Falls in 1958. He worked for Abitibi-Price as a lumberjack and in 1965, became supervisor until his retirement. Hervé and his beloved Mariette have always been a model couple in their community and were well loved within their circle of relatives and friends. He leaves us with wonderful memories of his childhood stories which he loved to tell. Life was made difficult after the sudden passing of his dear wife in 2016.
