In loving memory of
Linda Edmunds
March 6, 1959 - June 2, 2023
It is with sorrow and bittersweet gratitude the family of Linda Edmunds announce her passing. Linda’s courageous battle has come to end as she finds solace and everlasting peace. Linda left us on June 2nd, after a journey that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on March 6th, 1959 in Sudbury, Linda lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering strength. Throughout her journey, she faced numerous challenges with remarkable resilience, inspiring those around her with her unshakeable spirit. Despite the hardships she endured, she always maintained a genuine and kind-hearted nature, touching the lives of everyone she encountered.
Linda was a lover of good food, cooking, and music, especially singing. More than that she was a lover of human connections, able to engage in meaningful conversations and share genuine moments with anyone in her sight. Her family was always the most important thing to her. She was gifted as a seamstress and instilled the appreciation of art, music and handmade things on her children. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and the indelible imprint of her remarkable character.
Linda is survived by her husband, Sidney, her children, Robin, Ryan, and Jamie, her sisters, Gina and Monica, and her brother, Patrick, who will forever hold her close in their hearts. She was the Grandmother of Mya, Evan, Kennedy, Amber, Jeremi, William, Cori and Lincoln, the Great-Grandmother of Paisley, Jackson, Gus and the Aunt of Jennifer, Taylor, Aaron, Amanda, Katrina, Duncan, Devon, Meagan, Christina, Steven and our dearly missed Julie. She is predeceased by her Mother, Inge, Mother In Law, Noleen and brother Carrey. Although she will be deeply missed, her loved ones find solace in the knowledge that she is finally free from pain, embracing eternal peace.
A celebration of life is planned for a later date to be determined. Friends and family will be welcome to come together, sharing memories and finding comfort in each other's presence as they honour her remarkable journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Linda's loving memory to the South Centennial Manor or Anson General Hospital, reflecting her compassionate nature and commitment to helping others. We wish to thank the PSWs, Nurses and all staff at the hospital and manor for their hard work and exceptional care.
"Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be absent from our hearts."
