Mrs. Lucienne Gagné Racine (née Latour)

November 4th, 1933 – October 8, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces her passing while surrounded by her loving family at the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls on Friday October 8, 2021 at the age of 87. 

Lucienne will be deeply missed by her children Jean (Theresa) Gagné, Lynn (Marvin) Shallow, Anne (Michael) Lambert, Roger (Kim) Gagné and Jeanne (Pat) Devine; her grandchildren Ashley (Mark), Taylor (Matthew), Darcey (Sydney), Brittany (Alex), Craig (Marley), Derek (Christina), Melissa (Chris), Lucan (Rachelle), Alex, Andrew (Melanie) and Matthew (Lauren); and her great grandchildren Madeleine, Olive, Harper, Everett, Nixon, Benson, Emma, Carter and Ayla; her sister Florence (Raymond) Thériault,  brother Armand (Claudette) Latour, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She is now reunited with her first husband Rodolphe Gagné and her second husband Clifford Racine, her father Paul Latour and her mother Yvonne (née Paquette) Latour, her brothers and sisters Adélard (Hélène) Latour, Anita (John) Brousseau, Rollande (Jacques) Fontaine, Marie-Paule (Paul Brunet, Fern Philbert), Simonne Lalonde, Lucien (Denise) Latour and Yvon (Aline) Latour.

Lucienne worked many years at the South Centennial Manor. Her family is extremely grateful to all the staff at the Manor for the graceful and exceptional care they have provided to their mother. 

Lucienne was known for her caring nature, generosity, sense of humour and culinary skills. She had many other passions in life including travelling and the love of family. She will be missed by many for her authentic and outgoing personality. Her five children are honoured to call her “mom”. 

Visitations will be held at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 641 deTroyes Avenue, Iroquois Falls, on Tuesday October 12, 2021 from 9 am to 10:45. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 12, 2021 at 11 am at Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Roman Catholic Church in Iroquois Falls. The interment will take place at the Abitibi cemetery.**COVID 19 restrictions in place***

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the South Centennial Manor Redevelopment Project and would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences, photo or memories of Lucienne may be sent to her family at www.irvineandirvinefuneralhome.com.

Everyone attending visitations & funeral mass must wear a suitable mask at all times.

Visit will take place in rotation in order to respect public health instructions.

The maximum number of people allowed at the same time in the church is 48 people

Visitors must also clean their hands with hand sanitizer. All must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two meters for people who are not from the same household or their established social circle.**

Entourée de l’amour des siens, c’est avec tristesse que sa famille vous annonce son décès survenu au Manoir South Centennial d’Iroquois Falls, le vendredi 8 octobre 2021, à l’âge de 87 ans.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Jean (Theresa) Gagné, Lynn (Marvin) Shallow, Anne (Michael) Lambert, Roger (Kim) Gagné et Jeanne (Pat) Devine, ses petits-enfants Ashley (Mark), Taylor (Matthew), Darcey (Sydney), Brittany (Alex), Craig (Marley), Derek (Christina), Melissa (Chris), Lucan (Rachelle), Alex, Andrew (Melanie) et Matthew (Lauren), ses arrière-petits-enfants Madeleine, Olive, Harper, Everett, Nixon, Benson, Emma, Carter et Ayla, sa soeur Florence (Raymond) Thériault,  son frère Armand (Claudette) Latour, plusieurs neveux et nièces, autres parent et amis.

Elle est allée rejoindre son premier mari Rodolphe Gagné, son deuxième époux Clifford Racine, son père Paul Latour et sa mère Yvonne (née Paquette) Latour, ses frères et soeurs Adélard (Hélène) Latour, Anita (John) Brousseau, Rollande (Jacques) Fontaine, Marie-Paule (Paul Brunet, Fern Philbert), Simonne Lalonde, Lucien (Denise) Latour et Yvon (Aline) Latour.

Lucienne a travaillé durant plusieurs années au Manoir South Centennial. Sa famille aimerait remercier du fond du cœur tout le personnel du manoir South Centennial pour les soins exceptionnels prodigués à leur mère.

Lucienne était connue pour sa nature bienveillante, sa générosité, son sens de l'humour et ses talents culinaires. Elle avait de nombreuses autres passions dans la vie, notamment les voyages et l'amour de la famille. Elle manquera à beaucoup pour sa personnalité authentique et extravertie. Ses cinq enfants sont honorés de l'appeler « maman ».

La famille accueillera parents et amis au Salon funéraire Irvine & Irvine, 641 Ave deTroyes, Iroquois Falls, le mardi 12 octobre 2021 de 9h à 10h45. Les funérailles auront lieu le mardi 12 octobre 2021 à 11h à l’Église Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens d’Iroquois Falls. L’inhumation suivra au cimetière Abitibi d’Iroquois Falls. **Les règles du COVID doivent être respectées**
