Mrs. Rita Marinier (nee Gauvin)

December 21, 1947 – May 19, 2021

With great sadness her family announces her peaceful passing surrounded by her loved ones at the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls at the age of 73. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Marinier. She will be greatly missed by her sons Léo Marinier and Fernand (Julie) Marinier, granddaughters Amanda-Anne Gardner, Camille Marinier, grandson Colton Marinier and great granddaughter Emma Gardner, sisters Thérèse Béland, Georgette Marcotte and brother Paul Gauvin. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rita was also predeceased by her mother Marie-Anne Gauvin (nee Massicotte) and her father Odilon Gauvin.

Private visitations will be held at Irvine & Irvine funeral home in Iroquois Falls followed by the Funeral Mass at Sts-Martyrs Roman Catholic Church on Saturday May 22nd, 2021. The interment will be held at the Valley East Cemetery in Hanmer, Ontario where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
