Mr. Thomas James Cottingham

September 4, 1931 – March 10, 2023

Tom passed away on Friday March 10th, 2023 at the age of 91 at Anson General Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents Frederick Albert and Mary Adelaide, his wife Joan (nee Hartford), his sons Tom and Colin, his brothers Donald (Marion) and Richard (JoAnne), and sisters Jean Low (Donald) and Ruth Lenahan (William).

Tom will be deeply missed by his children Laurie Rousseau, Stephen, Susan Reimer (Rod), Garnet, and Carroll Leith (Rodger), grandchildren Jerry (Tanya), Jessy (Lindsay), Matthew, Shawn (Khuyen), Sara (Kevin) and Alexandra, and great-grandchildren Logan, Saphire, Emathyst, Ivy, Kayin, Freya, Jay, and Sylvia. Fondly remembered by his special friend Connie Clark and survived by brother-in-law Leslie Hartford (predeceased by Ann). He also leaves behind many other relatives, friends and neighbours.

The family will receive friends on Monday March 20th, 2023 from 1 to 3 pm at Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 641 deTroyes Avenue, Iroquois Falls. The funeral service will follow at 3 pm. Tom will be laid to rest alongside Joan at the Shillington Cemetery in the spring 2023 and a Celebration of Life will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.  The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Health Sciences North, Sudbury, and Anson General Hospital, Iroquois Falls.
